Invites Proposals for Innovative Product Development Grants

The Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, invites faculty members with existing research outcomes to apply for Innovative Product Development Grants. The program aims to advance research into functional innovation prototypes, promote intellectual property protection, and support the commercialization of research outcomes.

Five grants of THB 400,000 each are available for projects lasting up to one year. Funding covers materials and operating expenses in accordance with the Faculty’s regulations.

Program Objectives

1. Develop existing research outcomes into complete, functional innovation prototypes.
2. Showcase innovations to the public through exhibitions, contests, and competitions.
3. Identify innovations with commercial potential and promote intellectual property registration.
4. Inspire innovation among university students and school students.

Key Requirements

1. Submit the proposal through the relevant department, including a prototype development plan and budget plan.
2. Build on existing research and demonstrate the potential to develop a functional prototype.
3. Submit a progress report for the first funding installment before receiving the second installment.
4. Register intellectual property before publicly disclosing the innovation.
5. Participate in exhibitions or other showcase activities designated by the Faculty.
6. Upon project completion, arrange for the grant committee to inspect the innovation before submitting the final report and a 3–5-minute video.
